Pharrell Approached Jive Records about Executive Producing Britney Spears’ Next Album

This is great news for all the Britney fans out there. Furthermore, Pharrell also purposed a collaboration for the project that would include Shakira and Lady Gaga. Matthew Vaughn and Bryan Singer Confirmed to Return to X-Men First Class Sequel!

Deadline just confirmed that X-Men First Class director Matthew Vaughn will return to direct the films sequel and Bryan Singer will also return as producer. Simon Kigberg is already working on a script for the sequel. No word on whether or not Jane Goldman will come back to help pen the script or when we can expect to see the film. This is a great day for X-Fans. Glad Fox came to their senses and didn’t mess with the winning formula.

Avengers VS. The X-Men: Marvel’s Next Big Event

It seems like every week there is another new “big Marvel event”. Ever since House of M Marvel fans have been bombarded with large stories that crossover into other books,then take months to resolve and when its finally all said in done rosters and characters change and evolve. I think by the time the most recent comic event Fear Itself came out, most people like me were feeling pretty numb. So needless to say that when I heard that there was another big event announcement for 2012 coming soon I wasn’t too overwhelmed. After all, what was left to be done? Who was left to be killed (and eventually resurected)? Who would the Avengers fight now? The X-Men that’s who.

Yesss sir. After Marvel released the first teaser picture and then full creative team interview the next day, I have to say that I’m actually really looking forward to this one. So like all my used up notebooks and favorite blog sites I’ll explain and break down my reasons for being X-cited ( you bet your ass the pun’s intended) for this new “really big deal event-this will change everything and blow you away comic event”.

Why is The Phoenix coming for Hope Summers?

Ever since a little mutant baby with green eyes and red hair named Hope made her appearance in the Marvel Universe during the Messiah Complex X-Men event she has been a topic and source of mystery, misery and for lack of a better word, hope. It was obvious that she has some sort of connection to Cyclops. The clues have been carefully placed and if you really didn’t see them the final issue of Second Coming (anther X-Event) really rubbed your face in it. Avengers Vs. X-Men or Avs.X promises to answer all the questions about Hope. My guess is that she is either Jean Grey reincarnated or that she somehow the daughter of Jean and Scott Summers. I could be wrong but either way I’m excited to finally know.

This is what Wolverine and Cyclops were doing the last time we saw them together. is there a chance we will see them fight on the same side?

2. Wolverine and Others with Mixed Loyalties

Its pretty obvious that there are going to be a very bold and defined line that will have The Avengers one one side and The X-Men on the other as they fight to protect earth/protect hope from the coming Phoenix force. But what about the people like Wolverine who are have ties to both teams? What will they fight for? There are a few more characters like Beast who have slept in both beds as well. I think it should make things pretty interesting.

3. Creative Teams

Usually when Marvel does a big event like this we get one writer and maybe one or two artists. They are top tier but how cool would it be if we had the best of the best, artists and writers, all working together to put one really big story together? According to Marvel that’s exactly what we are getting! Writers include: Jason Aaron, Brian Michael Bendis, Ed Brubaker, Matt Fraction and Jonathan Hickman. Artists include: John Romita Jr., Olivier Coipel and Adam Kubert. This is beautiful.

Let's get ready to rumble.

4. Its The X-Men Vs. The Avengers.

Marvel’s two premier super teams going head to head. Or should I say optic blast to repulsar ray? The fighting and action alone should be great but if you mix that in with Marvel’s best and most talented artists and writers I can honestly say that this event might just live up to the hype.

Fan Review of The Circus House

As we check our inbox and go through all the messages that contain Circus House reactions it becomes clear to us that The Blackout Beat is definitely on to something great. Here is a nice and honest fan review that was sent to us by Mike Newman on The Blackout Beat’s Facebook page:

Lets just put it this way: Armando Garibay, of The Blackout Beat isn’t really interested in talking with you about politics with ambient music playing in the background. Oh no, he is going to get you out of your seat, get you a drink, then have you “keep you dancing!” The Circus House (available 12/9/11), is an intoxicating and eclectic album full of both club bangers and introspective, quirky ballads that could serve as a round trip around-the-world ticket that will take the listener between the almost Bollywood sounding percussion of “Let Me Hear That (Boom)” to the soft, other-worldly, synth strings of “Smile Again”, a song so honest about love that you can almost taste the chocolate in its sweet lyrics of life after heartbreak. The album really benefits from impeccable production that isn’t excessive or self-conscious. It just makes you want to move you body, whether that be on the dance floor or on the treadmill, Armando doesn’t seem to care, his mission is for you to “take it, break it, and go shock the system”. Mission accomplished Armando.
