Homophobia and Rappers: A Thought from Marcos Garibay

29 Jul

“In terms of homophobia,  I think RAPPERS will be amongst the last of the humans to catch up with the rest of the world, on the right side of history.  Hearing things like “That’s gay” used by anyone that comes through the doors of The Blackout Beat recording or dance studio results in an immediate silence of music and a lecture from me about how they need to evolve/grow up before they come back through my doors.  I’m in business to make money but I don’t need it enough to ignore an ignorant quality among most rappers that’s become a norm. ”
